TheFatBook publishes the cost index homeowners use to check contractor bids: priced material quantities, local crew wages, verified permit fees. The Better Builders Network is the short list of builders who put their name to the way they price against that data.
Every member took the pledge in their own name. The badge on a member's website links back to their page here, so you can confirm it is current. If a membership lapses, the badge goes gray on every site that carries it the same hour we pull it.
Check any bid against the cost index, member or not. The data is free and the math is shown.
There is no application form. We find builders through their work: license records, review history, how their numbers sit against the index. An invitation names you specifically, and the pledge is the whole application. Membership is free. There is nothing to buy here and nothing we sell you.
